ENTRY #13

Location:

Timesquare, Cuaseway Bay, Hong Kong

Background:

"We're students at the Diocesan Girls' School native to Hong Kong."

Opinion:

Middle girl: “In most cases, the mainland Chinese aren’t that bad. I go to mainland China quite often and they seem very friendly and nice.”

“Hong Kong people need to understand that China is a developing country. Instead of discriminating against mainlanders, we should try to help them.”

Left girl: “There are a lot of mainlanders who eat in trains, pee in stations, and don’t respect rules.”

Is there a solution?

“Well, maybe Hong Kong can set the example  to help them improve. Maybe we shouldn't restrict them from coming.”

Right girl: “Um, I agree with everything they just said."

"We shouldn’t look down on them.”
