ABOUT LAUREN LUO 

Lauren Luo was born in Bethesda, Maryland and lived there until the third grade when she moved to Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, Lauren attended Hong Kong International School (HKIS). After the eighth grade, she relocated to Andover, MA where she is currently a senior at Phillips Academy Andover, an American boarding school.

 

At Andover, Lauren is a photography editor for the Phillipian, Andover’s student run community newspaper, and has worked at the paper for four years. Additionally, she is a co-head and co-founder of Art Exchange, an art club at Andover,  and her artwork has been featured regularly in student galleries around campus. She has been recognized both in school and out for her achievements in the fine arts, winning various student photography competitions on campus as well as two awards from the 2016 National Scholastic Arts competition, earning one silver key for a photography and an honorable mention for a portfolio.

 

Aside from her passion for photography, Lauren is also a musician and a proctor in her dorm. As a musician, she is a co-head of Azure, an all-female acapella group, plays the piano, and plays the French horn in the campus orchestra and band.
