ENTRY #1

Location:

In front of the MTR station, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

Background:

Girl: "I was born and raised in Hong Kong, but my family is originally from mainland China. I mostly live in Los Angeles now, but I still come back occasionally for work."

Boy: "I'm just here visiting her. I'm from New York City and it's my first time in Hong Kong."

Opinion:

 Girl:

"Hong Kong is very different from China. The media skews information. They shit on China a lot and don't tell the full story. With all the filtering they do, the facts become different opinions.”

Is there a solution?

“I feel like Hong Kong should be its own independent place. There is no other solution.”

Boy :

“I think Hong Kong should have its own identity. It’s so different from China. China needs to learn from Hong Kong and look at it as an example.”

“Foreigners don’t get enough exposure to the problems between HK and China”

Is there a solution?

“Well, it's very hard to find a solution. But there is hope! USA can solve the problem!”
